The Book Publishing industry in China is set to generate revenue of
$9.5 billion in 2012, up 3.1% from 2011, according to IBISWorld. There
were few new entrants into the Book Publishing industry over the past
five years, as growth was limited by government restrictions on foreign
capital investment. Over the next five years, domestic presses will
import more foreign books to meet the requirements of Chinese people,
while increasing exports to spread Chinese culture around the world.
